Bilfinger Babcock CZ, the former Austrian Energy & Environment CZ, is an internationally leading technology provider for energy production and environmental technology and now part of the German Bilfinger group. Bilfinger plans and builds turnkey power plants and delivers components such as steam generators and flue gas cleaning plants. Service and modernisation complete the offer. The controlling system has to integrate various data from the operational units and to transparently process the same in a uniform reporting system.
ACHIEVEMENTS
At Austrian Energy & Environment CZ CoPlanner has been used for commercial planning of major projects since 2010. Planning spans over the complete life cycle of a project and integrates the flow of information across the company: sales, project management, commercial project management, purchasing, controlling. This process is supported by a customized key figures and result reporting, which provides all the information needed at the push of a button.
LESSONS LEARNED
Management of actual and future payment flows in the different projects is optimised by the complimented cash‑management module. The data are seamlessly transcribed into the project planning, which also leads to a significant reduction of the workload of the planers. Along with the profit planning, these data are basic for the financial figures in the CoPlanner reporting.
HIGHLIGHT
Commercial project controlling is carried out focusing on the most important financial figures. These figures are defined in the key figure module of the CoPlanner, which is based on the total data of the system. The key figures are processed suitable for OLAP and can be expanded by the power users according to their demand. The reports show the key figures in local and group currency and are also available on the web.
