CoPlanner has been active in the market for business intelligence software since 1994. The company started up as a provider of controlling software with Applix's TM1 OLAP database in 1989 and CoPlanner was the first company to offer a complete planning solution on this platform. In 2002 a platform change took place to the Microsoft BI software environment (SQL Server, Analysis Services). Since this change, the constantly growing Microsoft product range has been used for the CoPlanner BI functionality.

Since 1989, the integrated planning software CoPlanner has grown out of the knowledge of experienced controllers and financial managers.

Based on concrete implementations in ongoing projects, the technical development and the changing market requirements, the content has since been continuously optimized and further developed. The area of application of the CoPlanner has grown beyond planning and forecasting, for example with the modules for Legal Consolidation and Cost Accounting.

Based on the existing Framework the solution for legal consolidation is implemented in the product. Until now, CoPlanner already covered a comprehensive range of applications from integrated financial planning and multidimensional planning to reporting and OLAP analyses. Now we can offer to you the CoPlanner LCM module that enables you to conduct the legal group consolidation. This exemplifies once more the excellent possibilities of a more complex data modelling via the CoPlanner Framework. The advantages of an integrated solution are obvious: less need for extensive training, no difficulties with interfaces between different systems, no need for double or multiple data storage thanks to the application of a shared database.

Prior to the launch of the CoPlanner we worked with Excel, however, with limits to multidimensionality. The various export markets and customers and the variety of our products demanded more than excel could offer.

Working in a dynamic market environment it is very important that the system can be quickly adjusted to changing business conditions. In the past years CoPlanner has proven this through the integration of various system extensions.
