In no other area of planning is the individuality of a company more evident than in the planning of sales. Even within the same industry, the requirements are extremely heterogeneous and are very strongly based on the organizational culture and way of thinking of the respective company. With a single standard module, this requirement can hardly be realized in a comfortable and efficient planning solution. Therefore CoPlanner offers in the standard version different modules with corresponding branch focus (for example trade, service, construction, pharma, ...), which can be individually aligned according to most different ideas with very little effort.
The different dimensions (customers, regions, products, business units, ...), quantities / price structures with or without central price specifications, multi-level planning processes with top-down specifications, distinctions between existing and new business, planning up to DBI (trade) or according to performance and Results (construction), in transaction currency, according to calculated revenues from rental / maintenance contracts, etc. can, depending on the claim, be displayed and, of course, combined as desired. Given this heterogeneity, the scope of these modules is characterized by a variety of common functionalities required.
Because sales planning takes place very early and the sales planners usually have very little time, planning assistants and intelligent options for updating planning data make working considerably easier. Also, the quality of the planning, which could suffer from the early onset and thus long time distance to the prognosticating period, should be guaranteed by these automated methods in the highest form. Possibilities of commenting allow the traceability of plan data, documents for example complex price calculations can be uploaded.
Once set up and enriched with actual data, forecasts can be created automatically and adjusted top-down or bottom-up - rolling forecasting is also supported. In addition, these splashing methods also permit quick adjustments, as a percentage or in absolute values, within the framework of budgeting. In order to allow each user to set up their preferred view of the data, the layouts of the planning forms can be stored individually.
Every planning module in CoPlanner, including sales planning, has an integration in profit and loss, balance sheet and financial plan. As obvious, the payment terms are deposited with the customer and taken from the respective source system. As a result, Controlling has the income statement as well as the impact on balance sheet and financial plan in mind.
