CoPlanner has been active in the market for business intelligence software since 1994. The company started up as a provider of controlling software with Applix's TM1 OLAP database in 1989 and CoPlanner was the first company to offer a complete planning solution on this platform. In 2002 a platform change took place to the Microsoft BI software environment (SQL Server, Analysis Services). Since this change, the constantly growing Microsoft product range has been used for the CoPlanner BI functionality.



The economic know-how of CoPlanner is based on the practical experience and knowledge of controllers and finance managers.
The development of integrated planning software already has started in 1989.

How to create ad-hoc analysis that are not only provided instantly but are also well-founded and visually convincing? By using the OLAP-browser, an essential part of CoPlanner. The CoPlanner Analyzer enables you to access relational tables and multidimensional illustrations (“cubes”).

By using the drag & drop function you are able to configure and reformat the requested reporting structures (data and filter) for the ad-hoc analysis and present them to various recipients.

You can use the Analyzer in two different ways: Firstly, as classical analysing tool directly in the CoPlanner Client or secondly, as Add-In combined with MS Excel. The user acts in the familiar environment of Excel and at the same time enjoys all benefits of the multidimensional data analysis.

CoPlanner is a controlling tool for business users. An integral part of such a tool is the self-developed reporting. The model is completely embedded into the CoPlanner environment and thus ensures uniform handling.


CoPlanner customers profit from the multilayered world of an extensive reporting tool, which is easy to use. The reporting allows the simple and fast use of the data available in the CoPlanner, which are extracted from different sources (SAP or Excel) and processed into significant reports. Intuitive usability is particularly important. 

The user interface was designed in line with the proven CoPlanner usability.

The CoPlanner reporting enables the user to independently create individual reports and thus to flexibly react to different requirements of the report recipients within a short period of time. Simple, multidimensional reports with planned, actual and forecast data can be processed with a preconfigured assistant. Important information can be shown in diagrams and graphics, the layout can be individually defined. Thus customized reports for a large number of recipients with different requirements can be produced. Complex demands are realized in the professional mode.

The portfolios of external accounting and controlling are overlapping and the demand for an integrated solution is increasing. Some suppliers react by purchasing external products that may be difficult to integrate with their own systems. CoPlanner confidently builds on other strategies.
Based on the existing Framework the solution for legal consolidation is implemented in the product. Until now, CoPlanner already covered a comprehensive range of applications from integrated financial planning and multidimensional planning to reporting and OLAP analyses. Now we can offer to you the CoPlanner LCM module that enables you to conduct the legal group consolidation. This exemplifies once more the excellent possibilities of a more complex data modelling via the CoPlanner Framework. The advantages of an integrated solution are obvious: less need for extensive training, no difficulties with interfaces between different systems, no need for double or multiple data storage thanks to the application of a shared database.

Fast implementation, quick generation of financial statements

Applying the CoPlanner LCM is a fast and easy step without any complex and time-consuming programming. After a short introductory training you are able to generate the financial statement via the individual navigation structure. The status of the single consolidation steps (debt, income and capital consolidation) is always transparent. Existing structures of the planning models (group structure, accounts, interfaces etc.) are used for the consolidation. Nevertheless, certain variations (e.g. due to varying account structures) may be possible in the planning process, actual reporting and legal financial statements – without influencing, however comparability and integration.

Additionally, manual postings can be registered and processed as accounting records.

The financial statement and all consolidation items are recorded for the external auditing.

The required reports are available as predefined standard reports. Furthermore, lists of accounts including the illustration of individual consolidation entries on accounts and transaction levels are available. You are also able to generate current consolidations for actual as well as for target data. The evaluations are available as PDF files and Excel reports.

An integrated system for all users and applications

Users who are already working with the planning or reporting tools of CoPlanner will find it easy to work with the CoPlanner LCM. The individual offices of the company use the WebFrontEnds to conduct the coordination between the companies, thus making it unnecessary for the headquarters to pre-sort the data. The CoPlanner LCM module offers a complete and integrated solution for the legal financial statement of small and medium-sized companies.
